Information for students

Print the page | A | A | A

As the peak body representing the university sector, Universities Australia is not in a position to recommend a particular university or course of study to an individual student's circumstances.

Universities Australia does not provide advice or funding to students wishing to apply for a university place, scholarships, visas, or graduate employment.

Australian citizens and permanent residents can access information on available programs, entry requirements, HECS / fees, and student income support (including Youth Allowance and scholarships) from the Going to Uni website. Applications for undergraduate study and some postgraduate coursework programs must be submitted through the university admissions centre in the state where the university is based. Applications for other postgraduate programs and non-award courses are typically handled by individual universities.

International students can visit the Australian Government's official Study in Australia website for information on available programs, student visas and living costs. Prospective students should seek advice from individual universities regarding the enrolment process.

Individual universities also make a range of scholarships available to both domestic and international students.
