Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic) have overall responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of the university's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs. This includes regular reviews of the university's policies and procedures to ensure excellence in teaching.
Universities Australia coordinates meetings of Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic) twice a year to discuss issues of interest. In addition, an executive has been formed to action urgent issues out-of-session. The executive for 2011 comprises:
