Griffith University is one of Australia's most innovative tertiary institutions--a major education and research contributor in the Asia-Pacific region. Ranked in the world top 500 across a range of prestigious indices, Griffith is Australia's ninth largest higher education provider. A student-centred, research-intensive university in the Brisbane-Gold Coast corridor of South-East Queensland, Griffith is home to more than 43,000 students from 131 countries and has 130,000 graduates spread around the world. The university offers more that 300 degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as high-quality degrees by research.

Five campuses located at Southbank, Nathan, Mt Gravatt, Logan and the Gold Coast, offer work-integrated student learning experiences to all students. Griffith's high teaching standards produce graduates ready to make a real contribution to their local and international communities. The first University in Australia to offer Asian studies and a world leader in environmental science, Griffith is a university on the move-- fast developing a medical, health and knowledge precinct at its Gold Coast campus and building a major, self-powered environmental facility at Nathan to add to its considerable presence there.

The University has world-recognised strengths across a range of disciplines including physical sciences, health and medicine, environmental science and design, climate change adaptation, music and creative arts, law, criminology, Asian studies, public policy and education, business and tourism. Analysis of the Excellence in Research for Australia National Report 2010 placed Griffith in the top 10 of Australian research universities for number of fields of research rated at world standard or above, with 93 per cent of its academic staff aligned with these fields. Nathan and the Gold Coast campus in particular are home to some of the most exciting scientific and health research in the world, including the development of a malaria vaccine and a Nature Bank facility undertaking innovative extraction of bioactive ingredients for pharmaceuticals.

Partnerships with industry, employers, governments and the wider community make Griffith a truly rich and exciting university--a place where the next generation of professionals and researchers is being nurtured and inspired.
