Course Experience Questionnaire Data 1996

General Notes

The data are provided in three formats:

Excel for Windows or the Macintosh will open all formats, as will most recent spreadsheet or database packages.

Also supplied are:

The data occupy 21 columns:

1. Institution (name of institution or campus)
2. Level of Qualification (sorted in the order doctorate, research masters, coursework masters, graduate/postgraduate diploma, graduate certificate, graduate bachelor, honours bachelor, pass bachelor, three year undergraduate diploma, associate diploma, and certificate.
3. Field of Study 1, e.g. Archaeology, Communications & Journalism, Geography, History, Literary Studies, Philosophy etc.
4-6. Good Teaching Scale mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.
7-9. Clear Goals and Standards Scale mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.
10-12. Appropriate Workload Scale mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.
13-15. Appropriate Assessment Scale mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.
16-18. Generic Skills Scale mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.
19-21. Overall Satisfaction Item mean, standard deviation and number of respondents.

Means and standard deviations are calculated to one decimal place.
