Collaboration

Universities Australia member universities undertake collaborative research in a wide range of fields. The also have extensive collaborative links with publicly-funded research agencies such as the CSIRO, the private sector, and with other research institutions in Australia and overseas.

Much of the collaborative research in Australia's universities is supported by the Cooperative Research Centres Program and the Australian Research Council's Linkage grants

In 2003 the Commonwealth Government undertook a review of collaboration between universities and publicly-funded research agencies. The report from that review can be found here
