Australian and New Zealand Council for the Care of Animals in Research and Teaching (ANZCCART)
ANZCCART membership currently includes research, academic, governmental and other groups concerned with the conduct and/or funding of animal-based research and teaching. ANZCCART was established by the AVCC, CSIRO and NHMRC in 1987.
Australian Academic and Research Network (AARNET)
AARNet was established by the AVCC in 1990 to connect all Australian universities, the CSIRO and subsequently other research organisations nationally and internationally. AARNet provides high-capacity leading-edge Internet services for the tertiary education and research sector communities and their research partners, serving over one million end users through local area networks at member institutions.
Australian Higher Education Industrial Association (AHEIA)
AHEIA is an employer organisation registered under the Industrial Relations Act 1988 (Commonwealth). It represents the industrial interests of universities and several other institutions operating in the higher education sector. AHEIA is responsible for protecting the industrial relations interests of its members at State and Federal levels.
Education Australia
Education Australia (formerly IDP Education Australia Ltd) is a company owned by 38 Australian universities and holds a 50% shareholding in IDP Education Pty Ltd. IDP Education Australia was established by Australian universities in 1969. It has over 40 years' experience in international education. It is now a global company offering student placement and English language testing services with an extensive international network.
Graduate Careers Australia (GCA)
GCA is the country's leading authority on the supply of and demand for new graduates in Australia. GCA produces a range of graduate-related publications and research that informs students, employers and careers practitioners about industry and salary trends, graduate employment opportunities and career development.
Higher Ed Services (HES)
Higher Ed Services (HES) is a not-for-profit company owned by Universities Australia whose mission is to support universities in delivering high quality services cost effectively such as finance, procurement capability, HR, student services and research management.
Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)
TEQSA regulates and assures the quality of Australia’s large, diverse and complex higher education sector. The higher education sector in total employs over 107,000 people in Australia and in 2009 had close to $19.9 billion in total revenue. The Australian higher education system comprises both public and private universities, Australian branches of overseas universities, and other higher education providers with and without self-accrediting authority.
