Charles Sturt University (CSU) provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses and higher degrees by research that make a real difference to our communities.

‘Yindyamarra Winhanganha’ is a Wiradjuri phase meaning the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in. This sentiment is at the heart of CSU’s approach to education, reflecting the University’s motto ‘for the public good’ and our spirit, attitude and ambition for ourselves, our students and our communities. Our ethos is underpinned by four values: Insightful; Inclusive; Impactful; and Inspiring.

We are a proudly regional university with campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Canberra, Dubbo, Goulburn, Orange, Parramatta, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga as well as CSU Study Centres in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Manly.

CSU’s multi-campus and multi-modal model has enabled a wide range of communities to have local access to higher education. It has enabled CSU to offer one of the most comprehensive suites of courses of any university in the country, with more than 70 per cent of its professional programs delivered in areas of identified national and regional labour market skills shortage.

CSU is focused on combining practical knowledge with quality learning and teaching, making our graduates some of the most employable in the country. We are proud to be world standard or above in research in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, Education and Philosophy and Religious Studies.

A wide range of academic support helps students build study skills or knowledge of particular subjects, while our health and wellbeing programs, counselling and residential advisers ensure new students settle into university life and get the best out of their CSU experience. Scholarships and grants are also offered to help with the costs of getting a degree.

Students can enrol offshore to study through partners in countries including China, Malaysia and Hong Kong. These international partnerships, as well as travel and exchange opportunities through CSU Global, support our commitment to the internationalisation of higher education. Students from all over the world study online through CSU, enjoying the flexibility and excellent online resources and support CSU offers.
