Charles Sturt University has a proud history in regional Australia and in reaching out online throughout the world, providing undergraduate and postgraduate courses and higher degrees by research in ways that help students reach their potential.

CSU is a community that embraces diversity and nurtures individual growth. At CSU we value economic, social and environmental sustainability. CSU connects with the communities in which it operates, delivering an excellence in our courses that opens up opportunities for all. The Wiradjuri phrase ‘Yindyamarra Winhanganha’ meaning the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in, is at the heart of CSU’s approach to education, reflecting the University’s motto; ‘for the public good’ and our spirit.

Strong links to industry connect our students with relevant real life experience and experts to support learning throughout our courses. This focus on combining practical knowledge with quality learning and teaching makes our graduates some of the most employable in the country. Charles Sturt University is consistently ranked as the institution with the highest graduate employment rate in Australia with 84 per cent of graduates fully employed within four months of graduation compared to national average of 69.5 per cent.

CSU has over 350 courses across Science, Business Justice & Behavioural Sciences and Education & Arts. We are proudly achieving world standard or above in research in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, Education, Philosophy and Religious Studies.

Studying or living on one of our regional campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Canberra, Dubbo, Goulburn, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga as well as CSU Study Centres in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Manly, give our students the advantage of the support from a close-knit community.

Our off-shore partnerships in countries including China and Hong Kong open up opportunities to create a global network of students and support the University’s commitment to the great benefits of internationalisation of higher education. Students from all over the world study online through CSU, enjoying the flexibility and excellent online resources and support CSU offers.
