The aim of the event is to highlight through case studies how successful cross-border industry / university collaborations have been achieved, and build the foundations for new collaborations.
Senior Japanese and Australian industry, university and government figures will be attending.
The event is conveniently timed so that those attending the Science and Technology (STS) Forum in Kyoto and/or the Japan-Australia/Australia-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (JABCC-AJBCC) conference in Osaka can transfer smoothly to the UA / JANU event.
There are two parts to the event:
- Wednesday 9 October 2.00pm – 8.00pm – case-studies and discussion between Japanese and Australian participants; and an evening networking reception
- Thursday 10 October 9.30am – 12 noon – Osaka University campus visit to the Techno Alliance Building, a purpose-built facility to house co-creation and research commercialisation activities
