Being self-accrediting autonomous institutions, universities have the primary responsibility for maintaining the quality of their courses, their research and their organisations. All universities have robust internal processes and structures that are designed to ensure that quality is maintained and, where possible, improved.
Internal processes are provided external validation through a number of government agencies and mechanisms.
